DOD announced Monday that SSgt. Alejandro Ayala, 26, of Riverside, Calif., died Nov. 18 from injuries sustained during a vehicle accident in Kuwait. He had deployed from the 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo. The accident is still under investigation.
The Air Force is on track to reach its annual goal of graduating 1,500 new pilots that had proved elusive to this point, one year after the service launched a sweeping overhaul of its undergraduate pilot training program, Air Education and Training Command said Sept. 14.
