According to The Gallup Poll’s annual update of the view of Americans about world affairs, a majority of Americans believe the US standing with the rest of the world is fairly dim. And, it is the third straight year that they’ve held that view. The trend line has move almost consistently, since 2002, toward a belief that other countries have an unfavorable view of America. When asked if they were satisfied or not with the US position in the world today, 61 percent expressed dissatisfaction.
